Just one week to the Memorial Day Holiday....it comes early this year.  The lake is full from recent rains - very near the summer full pool level.  Water should be fine for swimming.  We have had cancellations and the Loft Suite and the TO-NO-MO are available for the three day weekend.  Start the summer with a relaxing stay at Smith Lake B&B.

We added an underwater light to the new boat dock and it is attracting a large number of fish.  It is amazing to watch small bait fish, large shad and very large stripers swim through the light on a typical night.  Of course they are not always biting when we are fishing!

The "Rock the South" concert will be held June 21st and 22nd at Heritage Park in Cullman.  Headliners will be: The Band Perry, Sara Evans, Scott McCreery, Hank Williams, Jr., Greg Allman.  Tickets are available now - info on facebook.

Birmingham AIDS outreach is sponsoring a poker run on Smith Lake on June 22nd with a registration party on Friday evening.  

The Mike Beasley poker run is to be held July 20th.  This annual event raises money for water search and rescue organizations on Smith Lake.  This is the 11th annual event and to date it has raised over $750,000 that benefits everyone that uses the lake.
